Knowledge Base
This knowledge base supports Defence Medical Command (DMedC) / Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) guidance and delivery by setting out how mobile NHS App access and selected functionality can be introduced for DPHC-registered patients.
Use the Content Map for synthesis pages, the Guidance Decision Model for the current answer by cohort and route, the Core National Services and Roadmap for non-GP service value and direction, the IRTB(P) Evidence Brief (internal reference) for the decision-paper synthesis, the Source Register for provenance, and the Evidence Matrix for claim-level confidence.
Current Shape
- NHS App service scope and public eligibility boundaries.
- NHS account, NHS login, NHS Health A to Z, Find NHS services near you, NHS 111 online, profile and current/change GP-surgery functions, organ donation, National Data Opt-Out, research participation, vaccination and health-check routes, minor access, dependant analysis, linked profiles, proxy access, messaging, online GP requests, appointment, referral, prescription/pharmacy, personal-health-record, and GP-record features.
- Component architecture covering Personal Demographics Service (PDS), Organisation Data Service (ODS), Spine, Spine Directory Service (SDS), Spine Secure Proxy (SSP), NHS API Platform, GP Connect Patient Facing APIs, GP Connect Professional APIs, Interface Mechanism 1 (IM1), Message Exchange for Social Care and Health (MESH), NHS Notify, Patient Care Aggregator / Wayfinder, partner onboarding, Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), HealthShare Unified Care Record (UCR), Health Connect / Integration Platform evidence, and Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI).
- Defence Medical Command (DMedC) / Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) context, including Defence Medical Services (DMS), DPHC Firmbase, DPHC Overseas [DPHC(O)], Defence Global Practice, Programme Cortisone, and armed-forces patient groups.
- Registration-state modelling for ordinary NHS GP, DPHC Firmbase, DPHC(O), split-family registration, transition into DPHC, transition out of DPHC, minors, dependants, proxy users, and linked-profile users.
- Delivery-horizon analysis across UK-wide mobile access through NHS England and core national services, relevant appointment information from participating NHS providers in England, Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP) reminder concept design now, and separately approved later reminder development and delivery, GP-record integration and other clinical capabilities. Any later approved reminder pilot begins alongside current SMS. Phase 0-6 is retained as a technical reference rather than a mandatory chain.
- Evidence boundaries and implementation questions for continuation and/or adoption, and feature parity.
- A concise IRTB(P) in Issue, Recommendations, Timing, Background and Presentation order, with direct recommendations before supporting evidence and four neutral options in Background. The decision seeks NHS-functions delivery and DMICP concept design now; later development, delivery, any pilot and GP-record integration require further approval. The body target is no more than four pages, with four initial annexes and a machine-readable build contract.
